Spirit to Begin Austin Service, Announce Additional Route on February 14

    Spirit Airlines will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the start of daily nonstop service from Austin to nine U.S. cities on Feb. 14, 2019.

    Spirit Airlines will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the start of daily nonstop service from Austin to nine U.S. cities on Feb. 14, 2019. This will add to the total number of carriers serving Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and provide more flight options to travelers.

    John Kirby, Spirit’s vice president of network planning will also be announcing an additional tenth route from Austin at the press event. Opportunities for one-on-one interviews will be available following the official announcement.

    Spirit will offer daily nonstop service between Austin and Baltimore/Washington, D.C., Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Orlando starting on Feb. 14, 2019 with service to Los Angeles starting on May 2.
