American Airlines announced that new service from Chicago to Alaska will begin next summer.
The airline will begin daily seasonal service from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) and Fairbanks International Airport (FAI).
Additionally, based on this year’s success, American is increasing its capacity from Chicago to Glacier National Park in Kalispell, Montana (FCA) by switching to a Boeing 737-800 aircraft for more than double the available seats.
Beginning in May 2020, Chicago customers can fly nonstop from Chicago to Alaska to enjoy outdoor adventures, explore the Denali, check out caribou or learn about unique glaciers.
