Norwegian Reward Reaches 10 Million Members Worldwide

Norwegian Air’s loyalty program has more than three new members joining every minute.

Norwegian has reached a global milestone with its fast-growing loyalty program, Norwegian Reward, celebrating 10 million members since its inception in 2007. More than 1.3 million of those members are based in the United States.

Roughly 5,000 new members join the award-winning program every day, with more than three new members joining every minute. Norwegian Reward’s expansion in the U.S., Spain and the United Kingdom has contributed to the rapid growth.

“Reaching 10 million members is a testament to the unmatched value our loyalty program offers. We are particularly pleased with the rapid growth in the U.S. as it is one of our most important markets. Our loyal customers are the backbone to our company and we will continue to expand and introduce new partners to make it even easier for members to earn CashPoints,” said Managing Director of Norwegian Reward, Brede Huser.

In the U.S. alone, Norwegian Reward members grew to over 1.3 million members in a few short years, where it was launched in 2013. The loyalty program has also been awarded nine prestigious accolades since its launch in 2007, including Program of the Year Europe & Africa” at the Freddie Awards for three consecutive years.

Members earn CashPoints when when booking flights, hotel rooms Members can then use their CashPoints as full or partial payment on all Norwegian flights, or any other Norwegian product they prefer. After every sixth flight, members can claim a “Reward” which can be used an unlimited amount of times within 12 months. The Rewards can include free seat reservation, free baggage, free Fast Track or a CashPoint boost. Since the launch of Rewards in 2016, about one million members have obtained at least one Reward.
