RAA Promotes Drew Jacoby Lemos to Senior Director-Government Affairs
The Regional Airline Association (RAA) announced the promotion of Drew Jacoby Lemos to Senior Director, Government Affairs, effective immediately.
Drew joined RAA in 2017 as Director of Government Affairs, bringing sharp legislative and policy skills to RAA’s advocacy efforts. Prior to joining RAA, Drew served as associate director, federal affairs for New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Since then, he has further developed his aviation acumen and developed a keen insight into air service trends, aviation safety and operations, and the airline regulatory environment. Drew has effectively represented RAA and its members before policymakers, as a member of FAA rulemaking committees and in meetings with fellow industry members. He has been instrumental in expanding RAA’s policy efforts into the education arena and in 2019, introduced RAA to a broad new group of stakeholders on the education and labor committees. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in government, Drew began his career in policy with the government affairs firm Podesta Group in 2008.
“Drew understands that the backbone of effective advocacy is information sharing,” stated RAA’s President & CEO, Faye Malarkey Black. She continued, “Drew’s diligent work has improved RAA’s advocacy efforts and enhanced service to our members and the passengers they connect from communities large and small. Policymakers and airline officials alike trust Drew as a resource for information about regional airlines and the policy environment they operate in. This well-earned promotion recognizes Drew’s contributions at RAA to date and positions him to play an even broader role in serving our industry for years to come.”
