TAP Air Portugal Makes Flexibile Travel Easier Amid Corona Virus Concerns
Following the announcement of restrictions on travel from Europe to the U.S., TAP has made it easier for customers to book their travel with confidence. The U.S. Government has announced that foreign citizens who have been in the Schengen area during the last 14 days will not be allowed to enter the United States. But this measure does not apply to U.S. citizens or residents (among other exceptions).
TAP has made it easy and flexible to reschedule existing and also future travel this month:
- Customers who booked travel booked before March 8, for travel starting before May 31, can now change their flight date and destination through December 31 without fee (see conditions here);
- TAP’s "Book with Confidence" program allows travelers to book new travel across its network throughout March, comforted that it can be rescheduled without change fees, as long as changes are made 21 days in advance of the new travel date.
Customer Booking Tools
Due to the large volume of calls to TAP’s call center during these extraordinary conditions, response times have been impacted, for which TAP apologizes. The airline reminds customers of several tools at their disposal for making changes where possible.
Manage Reservation:
Customers can manage their bookings online at flytap.com.
Flight Status:
Flight status also can be checked online.
Customer Contacts:
TAP also requests all customers to update personal contacts on their profiles making it easier for the airline to reach out with updates when necessary.
