Emirates has announced it will resume daily services to Athens via Newark from June 1. The resumed flight showcases Emirates’ ongoing dedication to the U.S. market, offering travelers a convenient connection to the Middle East, West Asia, and Africa via Dubai.
The addition of Newark via Athens will take Emirates’ U.S. network to 10 destinations following the resumption of services to Seattle (SEA), Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK), Washington D.C. (IAD), Dallas (DFW) and San Francisco (SFO), which is set to resume on March 2.
The Dubai-Athens-Newark flight will operate daily with a three-class Boeing 777-300ER, complementing Emirates’ double daily flights to New York (JFK) as the airline continues to expand across North America. The resumed link between Greece and the U.S. will provide year-round connectivity, facilitate trade, boost tourism and benefit consumers by providing them with choice and convenience. Emirates flight EK209 will depart Dubai at 10:50am, arriving in Athens at 3:00pm before departing again at 5:35pm and arriving into Newark Liberty International Airport at 9:20pm on the same day. The return flight EK210 will depart Newark at 11:55pm, arriving in Athens at 4:05pm the next day. EK210 will depart once again from Athens the next day at 5:05pm bound for Dubai where it will arrive at 11:35pm (all times are local).

It was one of the world's first cities to obtain Safe Travels stamp from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) – which endorses Dubai's comprehensive and effective measures to ensure guest health and safety.
