American Airlines Announces New Nonstop Service from Spokane to Chicago O'Hare International Airport
American Airlines has announced new seasonal daily nonstop service from Spokane International Airport (GEG) to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD). The once-daily flight will begin on June 3 and continue through Sept. 7.
“American is pleased to add once daily, nonstop seasonal service between Spokane International Airport and Chicago, complementing existing service between Spokane and our Dallas-Fort Worth and Phoenix hubs,” said Brian Znotins, American’s vice president of network planning. “As customers return to the skies, they’re embracing the beauty of nature and the great outdoors. Our new route is not only a gateway to green space, but also connects residents of Spokane and the Coeur d'Alene region to many one-stop destinations across American’s network.”
“We are grateful to American Airlines for their continued investment in Spokane,” said Spokane Airport Board Chair Ezra Eckhardt. “Whether it is meeting up with clients or exploring the city’s numerous tourist attractions, the demand for a nonstop flight to Chicago is strong amongst the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene region’s business and leisure travelers.”
Spokane International Airport CEO Larry Krauter added, “Chicago is one of our largest underserved markets, and the addition of this route not only provides nonstop service from the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene region, it also offers convenient connection options to several cities in the eastern United States, as well as international destinations.”
Chicago becomes the 18th nonstop destination offered from Spokane International Airport and the third American Airlines serves from Spokane, joining Dallas-Fort Worth and Phoenix. The flight will be operated with an Airbus A319.
