American Airlines Announces Austin Service for 10 Nonstop Destinations
American Airlines announced that expanded travel opportunities will soon be landing at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) beginning in May and June, with the arrival of 10 new, returning and seasonal routes.
“As customers return to the skies, Austin remains a top destination for business and leisure travel alike,” said Brian Znotins, American’s vice president of network planning. “American is pleased to add these new routes in direct response to customer demand and the continued growth of the Austin region. These new routes not only provide additional gateways to the Texas capital, but they also offer Central Texans new nonstop opportunities and access to American’s global network.”
Daily, year-round service from AUS to Nashville (BNA), Las Vegas (LAS), Orlando (MCO) and New Orleans (MSY) will begin May 6, with service to Raleigh-Durham (RDU), Tampa (TPA) and Washington-Dulles (IAD) starting later in the summer.
New Saturday seasonal service to Aspen (ASE), San Jose del Cabo, Mexico (SJD), and Destin-Fort Walton Beach (VPS) will begin June 5.

"American Airlines’ service expansion will provide our community with more opportunity, both in terms of our own economy and new connections to exciting destinations."
The new Aspen route will be the first nonstop air service between Austin the popular Colorado destination.
