Southwest Airlines Announces New Nonstop Service from Spokane to Chicago and Orange County, Resumes San Jose Nonstop Service
Southwest Airlines has announced new seasonal daily nonstop service from Spokane International Airport (GEG) to Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW) and John Wayne Orange County Airport (SNA). The once-daily flights to Chicago will commence on June 6 and to Orange County on June 6, and continue through Sept. 6. The airline will also be resuming daily, year-round nonstop service from Spokane to Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC) beginning on June 6.
“New non-stop service represents continued commitment to and investment in our community by Southwest Airlines, said Spokane Airport Board Chair Ezra Eckhardt. “This new service offers Spokane/Coeur d’Alene Region business and leisure travelers easier access to important business centers as well as popular tourist destinations in Chicago, Southern California and Silicon Valley.”
Spokane International Airport CEO Larry Krauter added, “We have been working with Southwest to not only expand nonstop service to these important markets to serve passenger demand, but also to through their extensive network to other parts of the United States. San Jose has connection opportunities to several cities in Southern California, and Chicago provides convenient connections to the Washington, DC and Boston metropolitan areas, as well as major cities like Nashville, Raleigh, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Columbus, Buffalo and South Carolina leisure destinations.”
