KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Announces Amsterdam Service from MCO
Travelers looking to experience everything Amsterdam has to offer – from the beautiful canals and cultural exhibits to world-class cuisine and historical sites – will now have easier access to the Netherlands’ capital city and beyond to over 118 destinations, with the announcement of a new nonstop route by KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
This new service will begin operating at Florida’s busiest airport for the winter travel season beginning Oct. 31.
“As we continue to see a rebound at Orlando International Airport (MCO), it’s particularly critical we see the recovery of international travel to and from Central Florida,” said Phil Brown, chief executive officer of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. “With more people becoming vaccinated and attractions adjusting their operation plans, we appreciate our airline partners showing commitment to our destination by adding new MCO flights and destinations.”
Operating as a circle route, the flight will operate four times a week at MCO. Passengers will be able to fly nonstop to Amsterdam on Thursdays and Fridays, and nonstop from Amsterdam on Mondays and Saturdays. Flights in the opposite direction on those days will stop in Miami before continuing on. Orlando International Airport has been without nonstop service to Amsterdam since March 2020.
