Latvian airline airBaltic continues the vaccination process at airBaltic headquarters and in total almost 700 employees of the company have received at least their first dose of the vaccine from which around 500 received it at airBaltic headquarter but others got their vaccine elsewhere. airBaltic is one of the first companies in Latvia to implement state-provided vaccination at the workplace, carried out by Klīnika Piramīda.
Martin Gauss, chief executive officer of airBaltic: “Our team is very proactive and willing to contribute to additional safety by choosing to vaccinate. Ideally all employees whose work duties are related to permanent contact with other people should be vaccinated and maintain it active during the pandemic. We have a 5-star Covid-19 safety rating, and we have reached to have almost 70% of airBaltic staff to be vaccinated.”
airBaltic currently employs 1,096 employees. During the vaccination process at airBaltic on May 6, May 7, May 10 and May 24 a total of around 500 employees have received their first dose of vaccine against COVID-19.
