Sun Country Airlines Adds 11 Nonstop Flights from MSP and Extends Schedule for Sale through Fall 2022
Sun Country Airlines announced 11 nonstop routes and welcomed seven new airports to its growing network beginning this spring. The airline will continue nonstop service from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) to Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY), Asheville Regional Airport (AVL), Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV), and General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Sun Country Airlines will add new, nonstop service from MSP to Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF), Burlington International Airport (BTV), Charleston International Airport (CHS), Jacksonville International Airport (JAX), Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) Spokane International Airport (GEG), and Vancouver International Airport (YVR).
As part of the announcement, the also airline revealed it is extending its current schedule through early September 2022, giving travelers access to more than 70 vacation destinations to visit this spring and summer.
“We’re excited to offer travelers affordable access to exciting new destinations including some of the most beautiful coastal towns on the East Coast, the Great Lakes, and Canada,” said Grant Whitney, Sun Country Airlines chief revenue officer. “We look forward to welcoming guests onboard to enjoy our many amenities like free inflight entertainment, complimentary nonalcoholic beverage service, and comfortable reclining seats with in-seat power on their way to their next great vacation.”
“It is great to see Sun Country continue to grow its service to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport,” said Metropolitan Airports Commission CEO Brian Ryks. “These seven new and four returning routes provide great get-away options once the coming winter’s snow melts and people become eager to get out and travel again.”
With the expansion, Sun Country Airlines will operate a total of more than 100 routes and to 80 airports in the United States, Mexico, Central America, Canada, and Caribbean.
