Emirates Airline is celebrating its 15th anniversary of service to Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) Airport and welcoming back the beloved A380 aircraft. Since its inaugural flight in December 2007, the airline has proudly carried over 2.7 million passengers and operated over 10,800 flights between Dubai and Houston, supporting the city’s tourism industry, cargo operations and growing trade lanes.
To mark the anniversary, George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) Airport welcomed the returned Emirates A380 aircraft with a water cannon salute.
IAH Airport is an important hub for Emirates SkyCargo, the airline’s airfreight division. Emirates SkyCargo has facilitated trade of more than 112,000 tons of cargo to and from Houston over the last 15 years, with some of the major exports including essential oils and raw materials used in the global beauty industry for the manufacturing of cosmetics and perfume.
