The Greek airline Aegean Airlines is to resume its operations at Riga Airport this summer season, with two flights from Riga to Athens every week.
The airline will launch flights between the capitals of Latvia and Greece on May 19, and will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays. Aegean Airlines will become the 15th airline to provide passenger services from Riga Airport this summer.
The airline originally launched its scheduled flights to Riga in 2016, and had previously offered charter flights on this route, but thanks to passenger demand, it was decided to introduce scheduled passenger flights.
The summer flight season will start on March 26, with the change to the daylight-saving time. This summer, Riga Airport plans to offer flights to more than 100 direct passenger destinations.
