Hong Kong Airlines Becomes Web Manuals's First Asian Passenger Airline Customer
Malmö, Sweden, December 2017: Web Manuals Sweden AB, developer of digital documentation solutions for the aviation industry, is celebrating Christmas by signing Hong Kong Airlines, its first passenger airline customer in Asia.
Hong Kong Airlines works across a wide destination network, covering close to 40 major cities spanning the Asia-Pacific and North American regions. The airline has a fleet of 38 Airbus A320, A330 and A350 aircraft.
Web Manuals will support the full digitization of Hong Kong Airlines’ operations manuals. This process will bring about significant time and cost savings, ease of use benefits, as well as improved regulatory compliance and flight safety for the airline. With 31 Airbus A330 and A350 aircraft scheduled to enter into service in the coming years, Hong Kong Airlines’ implementation of Web Manuals means that it will be well-prepared for the upcoming changes to its operations.
Captain K.C Liaw, Director of Flight Operations, Hong Kong Airlines, says: “We have many manuals spanning all areas of the business that need to be constantly maintained. Web Manuals’ application will allow us to be more efficient and quick to respond to regulatory changes ensuring we always remain compliant. Furthermore, the Web Manuals Reader App for iPads gives our pilots access to their manuals during flight, meaning they can instantly view and take note of all updates. This provides us with a very effective way to communicate changes to our team all over the world, saving us valuable time and resources.”
Martin Lidgard, Founder and CEO of Web Manuals, says: “It is fantastic to be working with Hong Kong Airlines, an extremely forward-thinking and fast-growing company. Through digitizing aviation documentation, Web Manuals allows operators to bring greater control, compliance and agility to their operations. Our customers immediately see the benefits that using a Cloud-based application brings to their business, empowering them to adapt to regulatory changes and grow their operations – a significant reason why we are experiencing a period of immense growth, having signed 17 new clients this quarter alone.”
