Malmö, Sweden, May 15th 2017: North Atlantic airline Icelandair has been named Customer of the Year at the annual Web Manuals Awards.

A much anticipated event at Web Manuals’ annual GO DIGITAL user conference held in Ystad Saltsjöbad, Sweden, the awards ceremony recognizes significant innovations, achievements and contributions among aviation operators and the company’s key partners. As an industry leader in digital documentation and compliance management solutions, Web Manuals hosts the annual conference to share insights and encourage innovation and collaboration among aviation operators.

The coveted Customer of the Year award went to Icelandair for their impressive employment of the Web Manuals product across all levels of their organization, and for the crucial role they played in leading new product developments that will also benefit other Web Manuals customers.

Partner of the Year was awarded to Copenhagen-based EFB software provider International Flight Support (IFS), while regional airline KLM Cityhopper scooped the Rising Star award, given to a new customer that implemented Web Manuals' application most impressively. KLM Cityhopper was particularly praised for its contribution to the refinement of Web Manuals’ Compliance Libraries.

Best Innovation, awarded to the most creative individual or group during the GO DIGITAL Open Innovation Workshop, was this year won by Icelandair employee Diana Björk. Web Manuals uses the Open Innovation Workshop to collect ideas and first-hand insight from best-in-class operators, an exercise that has proven its worth with an estimated 75% of the ideas translating into product developments each year.

Martin Lidgard, CEO and founder of Web Manuals, says: “With the Web Manuals Awards, we recognize those air operators and individuals who have successfully overcome the significant challenge of maintaining up-to-date company manuals, demonstrating flair and innovation in the way they have streamlined their processes. We offer our sincere congratulations to the winners and look forward to bringing even greater control, compliance and agility to all our clients’ operations as a result of the ideas and insights shared by the winners of the Web Manuals Awards.”

Web Manuals’ technology is widely used by regional and charter airlines, business aviation operators and other aviation businesses to save time and administrative costs while improving regulatory compliance and flight safety. The company is revolutionizing aviation manuals and regulatory compliance by making the digitization, authoring, and distribution of operational documentation easy and accessible to operators of all sizes. It allows operators to rapidly author, review, publish, distribute, and control an entire manuals library in a seamless operation.
