Malmö, Sweden, 23 May, 2017Web Manuals Sweden AB, developer of digital documentation solutions for the aviation industry, is continuing to expand its global footprint by adding three new Sub-Saharan African customers.

Operator and ACMI leasing company Global Airways and business aviation charter operator AvCon Jet, both from South Africa, and RJM Aviation, a private jet operator based in Chad, will be implementing the Web Manuals system in a bid to cut down on time spent updating their operations manuals by up to 90%. All rapidly expanding businesses, they will use Web Manuals for the authoring, review and publishing of operations manuals in order to reduce administration tasks and streamline the manual distribution process, saving time and money.

Vera Helm, Global Airways’ flight operations manager, says: “We have many manualscovering areas such as flight operations, maintenance, quality, safety and standard operating procedures for both pilots and cabin crew, as well as training manuals for our training organization. All were previously managed using Microsoft Word with revisions completed manually. This led to many issues with consistency between the manuals and the layouts, not to mention being incredibly time-consuming.

“Keeping everything updated was more than a full-time job and our operations librarian was frequently overwhelmed with the amount of work required just to keep the current manuals updated, without considering the additional work of new manuals, forms and checklists. The Web Manuals system has revolutionized the way we work and made everything so much simpler. We’ve gained hours back every week.”

Martin Lidgard, founder and CEO of Web Manuals, says: “With more than 90 operators around the world now benefiting from Web Manuals’ services it is only natural we start to expand into developing markets. There are huge opportunities within African aviation and we are looking forward to growing within this market and helping businesses simplify and accelerate the authoring, review, publishing, distribution and control of their operations manuals.”
