Our latest editorial initiative, the ‘Top 40 Under 40’ gives us an excellent opportunity to highlight some of the outstanding up-and-coming individuals in the business of aviation and airport
management who are shaping the future of the industry.
It’s great to see so many outstanding nominations from a wide variety of positions in the industry. The chosen individuals have proven themselves successful in their careers and are working tirelessly to make improvements at their organizations, and for the aviation industry as a whole.
It’s interesting to see the many professional roles that continue to shape careers at the airport setting — and the underlining commonality among the Top 40: A passion for flying, and a dedication to enhancing safety and efficiency for those along for the ride.
Many of the individuals recognized in this issue were introduced to aviation at an early age, and recognized quickly what I learned about aviation some four years ago when I first entered the industry — aviation is addictive.
I, for one, am proud to be an aviation addict ... and I suspect the same goes for most professionals lucky enough to be a part of this industry.
That said, there’s room for more of us, and I look forward to recognizing them in future classes of the Airport Business ‘Top Forty Under 40.’
