Tensator Launches First Interactive Virtual Assistant at Dubai International Airport with Touchscreen Integration
MILTON KEYNES, UK and BAY SHORE, NY, December 10, 2012 – Tensator, the world leader in queue management and customer journey solutions, today announced its first interactive next generation digital signage solution, the Tensator Virtual Assistant, has been successfully installed at Dubai International offering passengers important security and travel information through enhanced interaction via touchscreen integration. The first of its kind, the interactive Tensator Virtual Assistant was custom designed by Tensator to meet Dubai International’s customer experience, operational and queue management needs and is the fourth Tensator Virtual Assistant installed at the airport.
Located in the departure area of Dubai International’s Terminal 3, the interactive, HD-projected Tensator Virtual Assistant greets passengers and provides audio and video - as well as inviting passengers to interact with her. Passengers can access both Arabic and English information relating to frequently asked questions such as the location of departure gates, restrooms and check-in areas via the interactive touchscreen. Passengers are able to search for the information or select a specific service and depending on the service selected, the Virtual Assistant delivers a targeted message or asks the traveler for additional information.
“Dubai International prides itself on being one of the world’s most advanced and customer service oriented airports catering to more than 50 million passengers annually,” said Majed Al Joker, Vice President Terminal Operations at Dubai Airports. “Being the first airport to deploy the interactive Tensator Virtual Assistant is part of our heritage of ‘firsts’ and our continued dedication to enhancing the customer experience, improving operational efficiencies and reducing wait and queue times at every touch point. Now passengers have immediate access to the information they need and in addition to hearing, and seeing the Virtual Assistant, they can get the specific information they need via touchscreen.”
“Tensator is delighted to have worked with Dubai International Airport to design, develop and deliver the first interactive Tensator Virtual Assistant,” said Abdel Aziz Rahal, General Manager Tensator FZE. “Reactions by passengers have been tremendously positive. She calls attention to critical way finding information and makes passengers stop, look, listen and now interact and engage with her. People are excited to be able to have ready access to the information they need instantly and round the clock.”
Tensator provided Dubai International with its fully customized consultancy service that includes idea generation, script writing, filming and final installation, to ensure the system matched the airport’s exact interactive requirements.
