ARINC Common Use Contract Renewed with Vancouver Airport Authority
Annapolis, Maryland, January 30, 2013 — ARINC’s Airport Systems Division today announced that Vancouver Airport Authority signed a five-year contract to renew its Common Use Passenger Processing Systems (CUPPS) technology at Vancouver International Airport.
Under the terms of the contract, the Airport Authority will upgrade to ARINC’s latest vMUSE platform. In addition to being CUPPS-compliant, vMUSE supports new technologies like self-boarding gates and self service bag drops. The Airport Authority’s Common Use Self Service (CUSS) and BagLink systems are also being updated as part of the new contract.
The agreement also renews the Airport Authority’s dedicated on-site technical support provided by ARINC Managed Services (AMS), LLC, ARINC’s IT maintenance subsidiary. AMS will provide the operational and maintenance support services for all IT systems located throughout the facility.
“We are continually looking for ways to enhance and streamline the processing of our customers through our facilities. We are pleased to extend our partnership with ARINC,” said Kevin Molloy, Vice President, Simplified Passenger Travel and Chief Information Officer, Vancouver Airport Authority. “ARINC’s leading-edge technology and their outstanding technical support make them an ideal partner for us.”
“Vancouver Airport Authority is a recognized leader in using IT as a way to Simplify Passenger Travel,” said Mike Picco, Vice President of ARINC’s Airports Systems Division. “We are proud to receive this comprehensive contract renewal from one of airport industry’s foremost innovators.”
