Lee County Port Authority Selects AirIT’s EASE Virtualized Shared Use Passenger Processing Platform Technology
AirIT, the leading provider of information technology products and services to the air transportation industry, announced today that the Lee County Port Authority has chosen AirIT’s EASE™ (Extended Airline System Environment) virtualized passenger processing platform technology to deliver improved facility flexibility and operational efficiency at Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW).
The Lee County Port Authority sought proposals in June of this year for the installation and implementation of a Common/Shared Use Passenger Processing System (C/SUPPS). The Authority’s system requirements included the capability for air carriers to connect directly to and their host system and applications, as well as, assist in terminal optimization and improved passenger experience by providing flexibility in the assignment and sharing of key terminal resources.
AirIT’s EASE™ platform met all of the requirements of the Authority’s request for proposal (RFP), allowing airline carriers to operate in their own native system environments while delivering cost savings and enhanced operational flexibility to Southwest Florida International Airport. AirIT’s EASE™ platform is an expandable passenger processing solution that allows any equipped ticket counter or gate workstation to be utilized by any airline serving the airport.
