Halifax Stanfield Offers East Coast Lifestyle and The 7 Virtues
Halifax, N.S. – Halifax Stanfield International Airport (HSIA) welcomes two new retail partners – East Coast Lifestyle and The 7 Virtues, adding to an already growing entrepreneurial kiosk program. Both of these well-known Nova Scotia brands are set to open kiosks in the terminal building. This is also the first time both companies have sold their products in an airport.
“Supporting local entrepreneurs is tremendously important to us,” says Ian Arthur, Halifax International Airport Authority (HIAA) Chief Commercial Officer. “The addition of our two new tenants builds on the success of our kiosk program here at Halifax Stanfield. Moving forward, we will continue to support local entrepreneurs and have plans to introduce more unique Nova Scotia products to our passengers and visitors.”
The East Coast Lifestyle kiosk will be located on the departures level between gates 20 and 22 beginning December 1 and will continue for at least the next three months.
“East Coast Lifestyle was born in Halifax so we wanted to make it easier for you to bring a piece of home with you wherever you go,” says Alex MacLean, CEO & Founder of East Coast Lifestyle. “Our new airport location will conveniently allow East Coasters to rep their coast with limited edition apparel and we're excited to make it happen in time for the traveling season.”
The 7 Virtues kiosk is located in the main lobby area and will operate throughout the holiday season.
“Our whole team is excited to share our Made in Nova Fragrance collection at our holiday pop up shop,” says Barb Stegemann, CEO of The 7 Virtues. “We’ve been dreaming up new products in our test kitchen that have never been released to our international stores in Fifth Ave NYC or the EU. From moisturizing candles with our natural essential oils that support nations rebuilding after war or strife to our eco-chic lipsticks and lip balms made with organic castor oil supporting women in Haiti, there is something for everyone on your gifts-that-give holiday list. We love that we will be located in the public area of the airport so even if you are not flying away, you can experience our new natural luxe holiday items that support nations rebuilding.”
Halifax Stanfield’s close partnership with local entrepreneurs began in the Spring of 2014 when HIAA partnered with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development (CEED). Companies operated on a rotational basis for a year. One of these businesses, Jill’s Chocolates was so successful that she opened her own kiosk on the departures level in February 2015 and continues to operate. As well, Bella Bizou Boutique operates a kiosk in the arrivals area featuring a selection of jewelry, handcrafted by local artisans. Anyone interested in operating a kiosk at Halifax Stanfield can contact Jamie Dwyer, HIAA Business Development Manager, at 902.873.1007.
In addition to the kiosks that feature locally made products, a selection of Nova Scotia products can be found at many of Halifax Stanfield’s retail stores including: The Nova Scotia Store, Clearwater Seafoods, Atlantic Sweet Shoppe and Hudson News.
