Bradley International Airport Marks Six Years of Consecutive Passenger Growth
The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) is pleased to announce that Bradley International Airport has achieved six years of year-over-year passenger growth.
Under CAA’s management, since 2013, the airport has experienced a continuous upward trend in passenger traffic, with historical ridership figures breaking down as follows:
- 2013 – 5,420,853 passengers (+ 1.4 percent)
- 2014 – 5,875,801 passengers (+ 8.4 percent)
- 2015 – 5,933,808 passengers (+ 1.0 percent)
- 2016 – 6,060,943 passengers (+ 2.1 percent)
- 2017 – 6,436,407 passengers (+ 6.2 percent)
- 2018 – 6,668,198 passengers (+ 3.6 percent)
In total, the number of passengers using Bradley International Airport has increased by 23 percent over the six-year period, from 5,420,853 passengers in 2013 to 6,668,198 passengers in 2018.
“We’re pleased to see the continued growth at Bradley International Airport,” CAA Board Chairman Thomas (Tony) Sheridan said. “This positive trend is truly a reflection of the CAA’s commitment to drive initiatives that not only benefit our passengers, but also further enhance Bradley Airport’s role as an economic engine for the state.”
