TAIT Announces New Director of Air Service and Marketing
Tulsa Airports Improvement Trust (TAIT) has named Andrew Pierini as the Director of Air Service and Marketing. He will be responsible for the strategic planning and development of relationships with commercial and cargo airlines to drive additional airline activity through retention and capacity enhancements of airline service as well as the management of marketing activities for all airports under TAIT’s umbrella. Pierini will also serve as the airports’ public information officer.
Pierini has broad experience from both the airline and aircraft manufacturing industries, most recently working in the Commercial Sales and Marketing organization for the Boeing Company, where he supported sales campaigns and consulted with airlines globally in expanding their route networks and fleet requirements. He started his career at Southwest Airlines where he worked in network planning with roles focusing on network strategy and capacity planning, both domestically and abroad.
“Andrew’s experience working on the airline side of air service development will offer significant perspective as he works to build Tulsa’s airline capacity,” said Alexis Higgins, CEO of Tulsa Airports. “Andrew’s enthusiasm and expertise will support our community’s overall goals to drive additional nonstop routes. He could not be a more perfect fit.”
Pierini is ready to begin his new position in Tulsa and is looking forward to establishing new relationships that will promote air service retention and development. Pierini said, “I am excited to join the team here at Tulsa International Airport and look forward to engaging with the community, stakeholders, and our airline partners in our efforts to expand air service here in Tulsa.”
Pierini holds a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management from the University of Oklahoma and is currently completing his Master of Business Administration degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
