Global Runway Fashion Presentation Returns for a Third Year Hosted by Joe Zee
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), the world’s busiest and most efficient airport, announced today it will be hosting its highly anticipated fashion experience Wednesday, May 22. Global Runway, in its third year, is an exclusive fashion presentation that highlights the diverse fashion, lifestyle and beauty options at ATL. This year, Global Runway will take an experiential approach in presenting ATL Skypointe, the Airport’s award-winning program designed to showcase the various ways to shop, dine and explore while visiting Hartsfield-Jackson.
“As the world’s busiest airport, we continue to set the standard for domestic airports by investing in unique events like Global Runway, that highlight Hartsfield-Jackson’s award-winning concessions program and the best-in-class retail offerings we provide to more than 100 million passengers that come to ATL each year,” said John Selden, general manager of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
Since 2017, Global Runway has successfully merged fashion and aviation through a truly unique brand experience. This year, guests will be fully immersed into eight colorful, stylish rooms featuring the latest apparel, fashion and accessory offerings. The Instagram-ready installations will spark conversation, create shareable content and foster unique opportunities to connect with key ATL Skypointe brands such as MAC Cosmetics, Tumi, XpresSpa, Michael Kors, Patricia Nash and Bijoux Terner/iTravel. Global Runway will also host four designer fashion presentations featuring spring/summer collections from Sean John, Brooks Brothers, ExOfficio and Atlanta native Spanx.
In addition, Global Runway will bring together five social media influencers known for their style and presence in the global fashion community. This year, ATL has selected Joe Zee, celebrity stylist, author, journalist, producer and media personality as host. Along with Zee, influencers Coco Bassey, Monica Awe-Etuk, Elly Karamoh, Tatiana Barburassi and Beth Djalai will join him on the main stage to present brand collections.
“For someone who loves fashion and traveling, Hartsfield-Jackson offers the best of both worlds,” said Joe Zee, celebrity stylist, author, journalist, producer and media personality.
“To me, ATL is more than just an airport; it’s a destination in itself with a variety of shopping, dining and even relaxation options. I’m excited to host Global Runway this year and join Atlanta’s fashion community to celebrate ATL’s diverse retail options.”
ATLRewards, a turnkey customer loyalty and engagement program that enables ATL Airport’s more than 100 million annual passengers to securely earn free points when they shop, dine or park, will also be highlighted this year.
