The City of Colorado Springs Announces New Air Service Development Manager

The city of Colorado Springs has named Joe Nevill as their new air service development manager for Colorado Springs Airport (COS). Nevill has more than 27 years of network and schedule development experience and over 30 years in the airline industry. Nevill will begin his new position on Aug. 31.

“I am excited to be joining the city of Colorado Springs as the air service development manager,” said Nevill. “I look forward to leveraging Colorado Springs’ strong local economy, growth and leisure market in working to increase air service in the community.”

Nevill’s air transportation industry experience includes network and capacity planning, air service development, schedule planning, in addition to charter sales and planning, sales strategy and corporate revenue forecasting and analysis.

Most recently, Nevill was senior manager – charters/network planning for United Airlines in Chicago where he was responsible for over $125 million in annual charter sales. He worked for United Airlines since 1992, increasing his roles and responsibilities. Nevill also worked for Northwest Airlines and Continental Airlines.

In Nevill’s new role with COS, he will develop and execute air service development strategic objectives, key initiatives, and tactical plans to expand air service and increase airport usage.

Nevill is a graduate of Auburn University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Transportation and Physical Distribution. He is also a licensed private pilot.
