The Airport Operational Database (AODB) is the "Airport Information Center" and is the central database or repository for all operative systems and provides all flight-related data accurately and efficiently in a real-time environment.
In performing its tasks, the AODB takes account of the different information requirements of the various users. For example, the System supplies specific information to airport personnel in the various departments, to airlines, passengers, visitors and authorities operating at the airport, such as customs and police. The AODB Flight Schedule Processing module enables smooth processing of flight schedules and their augmentation with all flight-event relevant information.
The AODB supports all scheduling and operative processes, ranging from the automatic transfer of the Seasonal Flight Schedule data, the generation of Daily Flight Schedules to the processing and provision of billing data. The graphical user-interface ensures user-friendly operation. Particular emphasis has been placed on implementing plausibility checks to facilitate early identification and avoidance of operator errors.
The AODB operates optimally with the Flight Information Display System (FIDS), the Resource Management System (RMS), EASE™ - Extended Airline Application System, and the PROPworks® Property and Revenue Management System. The AirIT AODB is equipped with the following features:
