Jena Hall has handled construction administration and the coordination of sustainability efforts and change management for three Denver International Airport (DEN) projects totaling $940 million. She oversees permitting, manages unremitting project needs and contractor workflow. She is active in Women in Design (Denver chapter) and the American Institute of Architects Colorado chapter, where she is preparing to present a case study on the Denver airport. As a LEED-accredited architect, Hall is managing LEED work for the DEN concourse expansion.
“I enjoy the impact that design can have on a passenger and I like the intricacy that airport projects offer. The complexity of working with many stakeholders makes for an exciting puzzle,” she said.
Hall said she enjoys the complexity that aviation projects have to offer.
“Each day is different with new questions to solve and various team members to strategize with,” said Hall. “I’d like to continue to be a part of projects that enhance the passenger experience and promote efficient building design. By focusing on these two elements, it provides an opportunity to impact users, sometimes without them realizing how much the building they use has a direct impact on their day-to-day life."
