Jenna Khoury serves as an example for young female leaders at airports. As Chief Financial Officer for the Regina Airport Authority, she’s also the first female officer in the airport’s history.
Khoury started as the Finance Manager and Controller for YQR in 2013. She was promoted to Director, Finance in 2018, in which she was given an opportunity to lead the department. She did a remarkable job and was promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 2019.
“I enjoy being part of the Regina Airport Authority because of the great group of people we have,” she said. “It’s nice to come to work and feel part of a team that is ready, willing and supports each other.”
Khoury persevered through COIVD 19 with a dramatically reduced employee count due to layoffs, while maintaining a glass half full approach to her work. She has made significant contributions to the airports strategic priorities, fosters excellent team work and has earned the trust and respect of the airport’s executive team and Board of Directors.
Throughout all of this, Khoury continues to prioritize her personal health and wellness by devoting herself to physical fitness and strength training while balancing a busy family life with her husband and three young children,
Colleagues note she’s the kind of individual who demonstrates that you can have a busy family life, but still manage an executive position, so long as you are prepared to work hard and manage your time effectively.
“I’m most proud of being the first female executive while balancing a young family,” she said. “In my past, I was always told that it couldn’t be done, or that I had to choose between being a mother or career and I was determined to set an example for my children that if you want something in life, anything is possible as long as you work hard and are determined.”
