Jesse Fosnaugh, A.A.E., ACE, is the Director of the Gulf Shores International Airport. He previously served as the Deputy Director of Branson Airport, where he leads all airport and FBO operations.
Since beginning his career in an entry-level operations role at Portland International Jetport in 2007, Fosnaugh has risen to an executive position, responsible for a wide range of critical functions. Overseeing a team of 20, he ensures regulatory compliance, safe ramp operations, and customer service, while also managing concessions, maintenance, and FBO services at the privately operated airport.
“Aviation is a passion of mine that I have been enamored with since taking my first flight when I was 14,” he said. “From that moment forward I was hooked. Aviation is a dynamic, evolving industry, and every day brings new challenges and rewarding experiences. There are so many different facets of the industry that make it so enriching.”
Fosnaugh’s leadership brought significant achievements to Branson Airport, including securing a military fuel contract and earning the FAA Safety Enhancement Award for conducting discrepancy-free inspections. A certified air boss, Fosnaugh has coordinated airshows, including the first aerobatic display over Table Rock Lake. He continuously enhances his own skills, recently earning ACE certifications in Safety Management Systems and Finance, and is set to complete his MBA in Airport Management this year.
Passionate about aviation, Fosnaugh’s influence extended into education as an instructor at Ozarks Technical Community College’s pilot training program. Since 2017, he has shared his industry insights with aspiring aviators, emphasizing the breadth and possibilities within aviation. He values his Branson Airport team’s “family” dynamic and appreciates the hands-on approach that allows him to contribute across multiple roles—from runway maintenance to executive meetings.
