Alex Brodsky
Vice President, Airport Infrastructure
Realterm
Age 34
Alex Brodsky serves as Vice President of Airport Infrastructure at Realterm, where he has emerged as a transformative leader in air cargo infrastructure.
At the forefront of his achievements is his leadership of the Cargo Modernization Program at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Since 2019, Brodsky has championed this ambitious initiative, addressing the renewal of LAX’s aging cargo facilities, which span 2.6 million square feet of warehouse space and approximately 3.5 million square feet of aircraft ramp areas across three distinct cargo complexes. His efforts led to the securing of a multi-billion-dollar predevelopment contract, the largest air cargo redevelopment project to be proposed in the U.S., which seeks to establish a new global standard for air cargo facilities.
“I want to continue to showcase what can be achieved for airport stakeholders when the public sector and private sector come together to enhance airport infrastructure,” he said.
Brodsky’s journey at Realterm began as an analyst after graduate school, initially working on a $250 million cargo infrastructure project at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. Over the years, he progressed to manage the project’s final phase, which transformed 65 acres of undeveloped land into a state-of-the-art, multi-user cargo complex, generating substantial economic benefits and thousands of jobs. This experience, coupled with his skill in managing complex stakeholder networks, made him the natural choice to lead the high-profile LAX Cargo Modernization Program. His work on this project has involved close collaboration with stakeholders ranging from the airport authority and local cargo community to the greater Los Angeles public, positioning the program as a pillar of sustainable and community-centric infrastructure development.
In addition to LAX, Brodsky has contributed to airport projects nationwide, including the development of cargo support facilities at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, warehouses for Amazon at Sacramento and Manchester-Boston Regional Airports, and a FedEx facility expansion at Miami International Airport. Looking ahead, he is also instrumental in Realterm’s new cargo warehouse for Worldwide Flight Services at JFK Airport, marking the largest cargo development at JFK in 20 years.
