Turo Joins Ground Transportation Options at Tucson International Airport
Passengers arriving at Tucson International Airport (TUS) now have another option for ground transportation on the way to their next destination. The Tucson Airport Authority (TAA) welcomes web-based service Turo and its registered users to share their vehicles at TUS for passengers to drive.
Turo is a peer-to-peer car sharing marketplace. Auto owners who advertise on the Turo platform connect with passengers who want to reserve a vehicle directly from TUS for a specified duration. Rates are established by car owners, but follow the guidelines established by Turo.
All vehicle exchanges based at TUS must occur within an authorized drop-off location, as outlined in Turo’s website dedicated to TUS. Passengers who book through Turo will have the opportunity to either pick-up their vehicle in the Hourly Lot, Parking Garage (level 2) or the uncovered Economy Lot. On limited occasions, a passenger may be met alongside the app-based ride services curb by the car owner for a drop-off. Following these guidelines will ensure smooth transfers to Turo customers without disturbing the flow of traffic in front of the main terminal. This information can also be reviewed at FlyTucson.com, on the App-Based Ride Services page.
