David Mason and Justin Wortman Join HOK’s Aviation + Transportation Leadership Team
David Mason, NCARB, and Justin Wortman, AIA, have joined HOK as regional leaders of Aviation + Transportation in Dallas and Los Angeles, respectively.
Mason brings more than three decades of experience leading diverse project teams for complex aviation projects — from small renovation projects to new passenger terminals — across the world. Wortman’s 15 years of experience in architecture and planning include leading teams in airport planning, design and documentation efforts, with multiple projects at Los Angeles International Airport and San Francisco International Airport.
“David and Justin both understand how to design environments that are beautiful, efficient, sustainable, and that enhance the passenger experience,” said Robert Chicas, AIA, LEED AP, HOK’s director of Aviation + Transportation. “Their experience and expertise will be invaluable to our clients and consultants.”
Mason will lead regional aviation and transportation projects in Texas and the South Central U.S., while Wortman will lead projects across Southern California and the Southwest U.S. Both will participate in national and international projects.
Mason has both a bachelor and master of Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is active in industry organizations including the Airports Council International.
Wortman earned a Master of Architecture from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from North Carolina State University. He is a planning and environmental committee member of the Airport Consultants Council and a former board member of Lambda Alpha International.
