Oct. 18-- ATHENS -- Most flights to and from Greece were cancelled on Sunday and Monday as Greek air traffic controllers and civil aviation employees stopped working for several hours as part of industrial action.
State broadcaster ERT reported that the stoppage would continue to cause significant problems on Monday.
Greek airlines urged their guests to urgently contact their airline or to rebook.
The country's most important airport in the capital Athens also announced on its website on Sunday that numerous flights had been cancelled.
The unions of the air traffic controllers and civil aviation employees are demanding more money and the hiring of additional staff.
