Feb. 18—Russian Roscosmos is looking to attract Kazakh air carriers to perform flights to Krayniy Airport in Baikonur city, Trend reports citing the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan.
The topic was discussed during the visit of representatives of the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan JSC (AAK) to Kyzylorda and Baykonur.
During the working visit, the Aviation Administration employees of Kazakhstan JSC studied the current activities of the Korkyt Ata Airport in Kyzylorda and got acquainted with its infrastructure.
Further, representatives of AAK visited the Baikonur complex, where they got acquainted with the Krayniy Airport infrastructure and meet the management team of Aviation Center of state corporation Roscosmos.
The negotiations with the representatives of Roscosmos showed the potential of mutually beneficial cooperation in the transportation of passengers and tourism development in the region to attract Kazakh air carriers to perform flights to "Krayniy" Airport in Baikonur.
The parties reached an understanding regarding the necessity of a detailed examination of the issue with representatives of Kazakhstan's airlines.
During the visit to Baikonur, the AAK delegation also visited the Voskhod branch of Moscow Aviation Institute ( National Research University). The director of the Voskhod branch, Anatoly Prosochkin, introduced to the AAK representatives the main directions and processes of student training, demonstrated the educational institution's production base.
During the visit, they discussed possible aspects of cooperation in training and retraining personnel for Kazakhstan's civil aviation enterprises.
