CLEVELAND, Ohio — Three men are accused of stealing three rental cars at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport Friday, police say.

The incident happened at 3 p.m. Friday at Avis Car Rental on Maplewood Avenue, just north of Interstate 480, Cleveland police spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia said.

Investigators learned that three men walked into Avis and stole three cars with keys, she said.

As they left the lot one of the men pulled out a gun and pointed it at a lot guard, she said.

Officers later found the men and the cars at Thrush Park in Cleveland, about eight miles away.

Two of the men took off, each with a car, while the third man was placed into custody, Ciaccia said.

The investigation is ongoing.
