Gannett Fleming TranSystems, has acquired Muller & Muller Ltd

A global architecture, engineering, and construction company based in Silver Spring Township has acquired a Chicago-based firm.

Gannett Fleming TranSystems, has acquired Muller & Muller Ltd. , an architectural firm.

The acquisition was announced in December. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed. Gannett Fleming has had four acquisitions in the last 20 months. This is the first acquisition for Gannett Fleming since merging with TranSystems over the summer.

Muller & Muller was founded in 1984 and provides architecture, planning, and structural engineering services, and has a presence in Chicago, Dallas, Seattle, and Peoria. The company employs about 65 people.

“Architecturally led design is at the heart of innovative building solutions. M2 has an established legacy of design excellence in the transit and aviation markets throughout the Central and Northwestern U.S.,” Jim Nevada, co-president of Gannett Fleming TranSystems, said in a news release. “Further, M2 and Gannett Fleming TranSystems share a common vision for creative design, exceptional project delivery, and an employee-centered culture.”

Mark Stromberg, managing principal of Muller & Muller, has joined Gannett Fleming TranSystems as the company’s architectural leader in the central and western part of the United States.

Gannett Fleming TranSystems has offices in four countries and 29 states. The company recently relocated its headquarters to 300 and 100 Sterling Parkway from its Senate Avenue complex in East Pennsboro Township.

Gannett Fleming, a portfolio company of OceanSound Partners, and Missouri-based TranSystems, a provider of transportation-focused engineering and infrastructure services, announced in August that the two companies completed a merger.
