Hartsfield-Jackson Hosts Sustainability Conference
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), in an ongoing effort to become the greenest airport in the world, will host the second annual International Sustainable Asset Management (ISAM) Conference this week. The event, run in partnership with the International Facility Management Association (IFMA), will run from June 22-24 at the Georgia International Convention Center.
ISAM 2016 is designed to demonstrate the synergy between asset management and sustainability, and to recognize the successes and challenges of integrating such practices globally and locally. The conference will address sustainability best practices, reinforce the benefits of investing in asset management, showcase new innovation and technologies, and offer training and development opportunities for sustainability professionals.
“Becoming the greenest airport in the world is especially important for us,” interim Airport General Manager Roosevelt Council Jr. said today. “Bringing industry professionals together for the second straight year to learn from each other and address this issue will help us become the world leader in aviation sustainability.”
