Hellwig Named Director of Denver Regional Aviation for WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff
Tom Hellwig has been appointed director of Denver regional aviation with WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff.
Hellwig will be responsible for client relationship management, business development, and project oversight of all aviation services throughout Colorado.
With over 30 years of aviation industry experience, Mr. Hellwig currently serves as program manager for the Denver International Airport program management and support services project. WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff is acting as an extension of staff for the City and County of Denver Department of Aviation on the project, which involves providing project management, project controls and support personnel to assist the airport in executing its capital plan and advising on best practices.
Prior to joining WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff in 2012, Hellwig was vice president for aviation at a Nashville-based architecture and engineering firm, where he managed the team responsible for designing the $1.2 billion international terminal that opened in 2012 at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
Hellwig received an M.A. degree in business administration from the University of Florida and a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Connecticut. His professional affiliations include the American Association of Airport Executives, Airports Council International – North America, and Airport Consultants Council.
