Chryssa Westerlund Appointed Vice President of Marketing and Consumer Strategy for MWAA
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Board of Directors on July 20, approved Chryssa Westerlund as the Airports Authority’s new vice president of marketing and consumer strategy.
Westerlund joined the Authority in January 2015 as deputy vice president for planning and revenue development, with responsibility for marketing, digital strategy and revenue strategy. Two key initiatives led by her organization in her first year included the launch of new brand and brand strategy for Washington Dulles and Reagan National Airports and the redevelopment of the Authority’s website.
Prior to joining the airports authority, Westerlund served as a global alliance director for Hewlett Packard’s IT services division and focused on growing revenue by developing new partners and services to create value for customers. She also spent a number of years as a management consultant providing advisory services to Fortune 500 companies.
In her new role, Westerlund will focus on strategic marketing and innovation to better understand and meet customer needs. A key aspect of her new role includes leveraging technology to drive new insights, customer loyalty and greater customer engagement through a variety a platforms.

Davis. “We are indeed fortunate to have someone of her background and experience on our team.”
Westerlund is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and earned a master’s degree in business administration from Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. She is also a certified public accountant.
