Kara Lentz, PE, joined HNTB Corp. as a senior program manager, based in the firm’s Dallas office. She has 16 years of professional experience in program, project and construction management.
She has significant experience in the aviation infrastructure market sector, having managed major aviation programs that include gate concourses, airport train stations and mass excavations.
Lentz will serve as program manager for the firm’s recent win of a five-year program management and construction management contract with Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

Lentz’ responsibilities at HNTB include delivering complex Program Management/Construction Management services, program controls and assessing and managing risk on behalf of the airport.
Prior to joining HNTB, Lentz served as an aviation division senior project manager and regional business development leader for another consulting firm.
Lentz is active as a volunteer for Engineers without Borders, including working on past projects in Rwanda and Honduras. In 2015, she was named to both the Denver Business Journal 40 under 40 list and the Engineering News-Record Mountain States 20 under 40 list.
Lentz earned a Master of Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Cooper Union in New York City.
