Albany Issues Travel Warning for All Florida Flights

Airlines serving Albany International Airport are continuing to update their flight schedules as hurricane Matthew advances toward the Florida mainland.  In many cases, airlines are waiving rebooking fees for those traveling through impacted areas.

Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL) closed at 10:30 a.m. today.  The Airport has not announced a reopening time.

Orlando International Airport (MCO) has announced that it will close at 8:00 p.m. this evening.

Airport officials say their goal is to reopen Orlando International Airport on Saturday.

Albany International Airport’s direct flights to Fort Lauderdale and Orlando have been impacted.

JetBlue Airways has cancelled today’s 5:06 p.m. flight to Fort Lauderdale.

Jet Blue has also cancelled tomorrow’s 2:56 p.m. flight to Orlando.

Southwest Airlines has cancelled Friday’s 6:06 a.m. flight to Baltimore. Southwest’s Friday morning arrival from Orlando has also been cancelled.

Travelers are urged to monitor their airlines’ web sites for updates.
