Norfolk International Airport Reports on September 2016 Activity
Norfolk International Airport (ORF) reported a 5.34 percent increase in passenger activity for the month of September with 271,366 passengers. This figure compares to a September passenger count of 257,616. September marks the 16th consecutive month of year-over-year growth at ORF. For the January - September period, passenger activity has increased 6.65 percent versus the corresponding period in 2015.
In other activity, 5,763,556 pounds of cargo were shipped in and out of the airport during September. This represents a 12.50 percent increase versus September 2015, which saw 5,122,955 pounds of cargo shipped. For the January - September period, cargo activity has increased 9.51 percent versus the corresponding period in 2015.
