YHZ: Delta Resumes Year Round Service to JFK

Nov. 1, 2016

Travellers from Halifax Stanfield International Airport can once again take advantage of year round service to New York’s JFK. Halifax International Airport Authority (HIAA) announced today that Delta will resume year round service to the airline’s hub at John F. Kennedy International Airport beginning January 9, 2017.

“We are very pleased to welcome Delta back to our community on a year round basis,” says Joyce Carter, HIAA President & CEO. “Delta’s service to New York provides both business and leisure travellers with more options and more choice. The route will also help boost inbound tourism for our province by providing American visitors with another travel choice any month of the year.”

The once daily flight will use a CRJ-900 aircraft operated by Delta Connection carrier Endeavor Air and features a 12-seat First Class cabin, 12 seats in Delta Comfort+ and 52 seats in the main cabin.

“This re-addition to Halifax to our international portfolio at our JFK hub speaks to the strength of our international hub in New York and demand for Delta service to Canada’s Ocean Playground,” said Henry Kuykendall, Delta’s Vice President - New York. “We look forward to bringing the Delta brand back to Nova Scotia, providing a link to New York City and offering connecting opportunities throughout the U.S., Latin America and Europe.”
