CA: Alaska Airlines to Launch SMF-SJD Service
Alaska Airlines announced it will begin new nonstop service between Sacramento (SMF) and San Jose Del Cabo (SJD) beginning June 10. Initial service to this popular Mexican beach area will be once per week during the summer season.
In addition to new weekly nonstop service, passengers can make daily round-trip connections via San Diego (SAN) on Alaska Airlines’ new nonstop service that begins March 16.
Los Cabos International Airport is about half an hour from Cabo San Lucas and the beaches and resorts along the coastline at the tip of the Baja peninsula. Sacramento last had nonstop service to Cabo in 2010.
“Alaska Airlines is thrilled to add our sixth nonstop and first international destination from Sactown,” said John Kirby, Alaska Airlines’ vice president of capacity planning. “Sacramento travelers will enjoy Los Cabos’ beautiful beaches, world class resorts, and exciting nightlife.”
