Southwest Grows AUS with Summer Service to Panama City

 Southwest Airlines has announced new, seasonal, weekly nonstop service between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP). The carrier will operate the new Panama City Beach area nonstop service one time a week, on Saturdays, this summer beginning June 4. The carrier also announced return of seasonal service to Portland, Ore., Mondays – Fridays (AUS-PDX), and Saturday only service to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico (AUS-SJD).

Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) is northwest of Panama City and near Panama City Beach, Florida. Opened in 2010, this new airport replaced Panama-City-Bay County International Airport.

Southwest Airlines also recently announced it will begin new daily nonstop AUS service to Kansas City (MCI) on March 13.
