Sunwing announced the return of its popular service from Halifax to Orlando for its fifth consecutive year. Operating on Fridays from Feb. 10 until May 12, the tour operator continues to bring convenience to Halifax residents looking to visit the sunshine state. Perfect for families, and those who are kids at heart, Orlando and Kissimmee are best known for their theme parks, like Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort.
President of Tour Operations Andrew Dawson commented, “Orlando and Kissimmee remain two of our consistently most popular Floridian destinations, so it was important for us to be able to continue this service for Nova Scotian residents. Plus, when combined with our value-added packages, it makes exploring Florida quite easy, affordable and very fun.”
The news was also well received by Bert van der Stege, vice president, business development & chief commercial officer for Halifax International Airport Authority (HIAA). “We welcome the return of Sunwing’s direct flights to Orlando. Florida is an extremely popular destination for sun seekers and with the early arrival of winter this season, we are pleased that our passengers will have a number of options to meet their travel needs.”
