Las Vegas To Host Boyd Group International Aviation Forecast Summit
On Aug. 26 – 29, the senior executives and leaders in all areas of global aviation will meet in Las Vegas to discuss emerging changes that will affect all areas of transportation.
Boyd Group International, the leading aviation research and forecasting firm, is bringing this prestigious event back to Las Vegas, following record-setting Summits held here in 2014 and 2015. The event is co-hosted by Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) and Las Vegas McCarran International Airport.
"Las Vegas and its airport, McCarran International, are emerging as the leaders in transportation and travel thought-leadership," noted Michael Boyd, president of the Colorado-based aviation consulting firm. "The event is focused on futurist thinking, and Las Vegas is the perfect venue to encourage new perceptions."
Now in its 22nd year, the Boyd Group International Aviation Forecast Summit has emerged as the industry's leading planning event, with attendees from all over the world. It is a forum where airlines, airports, aircraft manufacturers, financial institutions and other key sectors come together to discuss the future and the exciting trends facing the industry.
The Summit delivers forecasts for key sectors of the aviation industry, including passenger traffic projections, fleet trends, international cross-alliances, and airline industry strategies.
"We are thrilled to welcome aviation leaders and key decision-makers back for another successful year," said Rossi Ralenkotter, president/CEO of the LVCVA. "Not only does it create ongoing dialogue about expanding our air service in the future, but it affords us the opportunity for executives from around the globe to experience first-hand Las Vegas' unique offerings. Both are essential to grow travel and attract more visitors to the destination."
This year's Summit will be in conjunction with the 3rd Annual China-US Aviation Opportunities Symposium, a pre-Summit event which will focus on industry opportunities as trade and traffic continues to expand between the two nations.
"This is particularly exciting, in light of the new nonstop flights to Las Vegas from China, as well as the nearly 400,000 annual visitors who come here from the Middle Kingdom," Boyd noted.
"The Boyd Group International Aviation Forecast Summit is a unique event that brings together the best of the best in our industry, including many key decision makers representing airlines that do not yet serve Las Vegas," said Clark County Director of Aviation Rosemary Vassiliadis. "We look forward to hosting all those who'll fly here to participate in the conference later this year, and trust that they'll leave town fully aware of the many great business opportunities that Las Vegas and its McCarran partnership have to offer."
