Travellers and visitors to Halifax Stanfield International Airport will have a new food and beverage option. Halifax International Airport Authority (HIAA) on Jan. 23, announced A&W will soon open in the airport’s food court.
“We are delighted to welcome A&W to our airport community,” says Joyce Carter, HIAA president & CEO. “Having this new eatery as part of the airport landscape means travellers, visitors and staff will have another dining choice and they will be able to enjoy an offering from Canada’s fastest growing burger chain.”
The fast food restaurant is scheduled to open in the spring of 2017 with hours of 6 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. seven days a week, serving breakfast along with their day time menu.
"We have A&W restaurants in major travel hubs across the country, and know first-hand that travellers are looking for quick, great-tasting food that they can enjoy while on-the-go," says Rob Ogden, operator of the new Halifax Stanfield A&W restaurant. "We were drawn to the airport and its commitment to offering its passengers new foods that fit their lifestyle. This philosophy aligns with our Ingredients Guarantee and mission to provide busy, burger-loving guests with simple, great-tasting ingredients farmed with care. We're thrilled to open an A&W restaurant at the Halifax airport and look forward to sending off travelers, and welcoming visitors with a menu of options they can feel good about."
Throughout 2017, there will be a number of renovations and new additions coming to Halifax Stanfield through its concessions program.
