JetBlue to Offer Even More Ft. Lauderdale from Richmond (RIC)
With its recent summer schedule update, JetBlue Airways has added a second daily roundtrip between Richmond International Airport (RIC) and Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) starting June 15. The two markets were first connected by JetBlue in 2008.
“As JetBlue celebrates eleven years serving Richmond this month, we’re so pleased to announce even more service in the Commonwealth’s capital city,” said John Checketts, director route planning, JetBlue. “With this added frequency to our Fort Lauderdale focus city it’s easier than ever for travelers to visit the attractions of south Florida, or continue on to any of the dozens of great destinations we serve in the Caribbean and Latin America.”
The enhanced JetBlue schedule is now available for purchase on jetblue.com. With the addition of a second Ft. Lauderdale flight, JetBlue will provide nonstop service between Richmond and Boston (four departures per day), Orlando (twice-daily service), and Ft. Lauderdale.
“JetBlue just reported its best-ever year in Richmond and we are tremendously excited about the addition of a second daily flight to Ft. Lauderdale,” said John V. Mazza, Jr., chairman, Capital Region Airport Commission. “The Airport consistently receives rave reviews about this route and looks forward to the added convenience of easy JetBlue connections to top Caribbean destinations like Cancun and San Juan.”
